About Us

An important aspect of this is not masking the problem or trying to medicate away the pain but actually address the source of the problem: the excessively pronated foot.

Pronation is a normal function of the foot and ankle, as it allows absorption of shock while walking, running, climbing or other activities. When the motion of the foot (and especially the subtalar joint) is excessive, as in excessive pronation, the shock absorbing ability of the foot is diminished or absent altogether. This leads to the shock of the impact of activity being translated to the ankles, the muscles and tendons of the lower leg, the knees and the hips and then to the spine.

The effects of the Miserable Malalignment Syndrome and the core of evaluating and then treating Miserable Malalignment Syndrome is found within these pages.
